The fragment includes the central part of a wavy star, the edges and any other details are missing.  There is a small scar on the reverse which may be evidence of the pin.


Similar badges are published by Spencer (1990:104 no. 180) which shows a wavy star clasped by a crescent moon and date late 14th or 15th century.
