A Post Medieval copper alloy incomplete buckle plate dating 1550-1650. This buckle plate has been decoratively cast with in-curving sides and tri-lobed outer edge. There is a rectangular slot to accommodate the buckle pin. The plate is broken across this rectangular slot and any back plate is missing. There are two rivet holes arranged lengthwise down the midline for attachment to a strap.
A very similar buckle plate is recorded on the PAS database HAMP-EA3EB4 that is broken at exactly the same point.
