A copper alloy Post Medieval cast thimble dating from the 16th-17th centuries. The thimble has a slightly flatish top with rounded shoulders that taper outwardly to a slightly flared base. The indentations in the thimble appear to be circular. The indentations have been arranged in a spiral. This thimble has been cast as one piece. The thimble does not thicken around the base and there is no rim. The metal is a dark brown colour.
