The fragment comprises the lower part of the bow and the catch-plate. The bow has a triangular cross-section with a central ridge extending up the bow; either side of the ridge the surfaces are in-curving. There is no foot-knob. The catch-plate is triangular in plan with openwork decoration comprising a small circular perforation and a curving triangular perforation. The upper part of the bow, spring and pin are all missing.
