A cast copper-alloy pin probably of the later Early Medieval period, c. 800-1000 (though possibly late Roman, c. 300-410).
The in is incomplete, with only the head and upper shaft remaining. The head is multifaceted with 13 faces, 12 of which bear a punched circle-and-dot in the middle, with larger ones on the four larger faces. The top face has four small dots punched on it, one in each corner. There is a worn collar beneath the head.
