Possibly a fragmentary dress fitting. Silver, comprising a shield shaped sheet with a broken projection at the pointed end. Two rectangular perforations lie centrally within the shield, surrounded by four sets of two longitudinal lines made up of tiny dots, and one set of wavy lines. The reverse is undecorated.
Dimensions: Measuring at least 18.1mm long, 15.9mm wide.
Discussion: No sign of bar attachment on the reverse. The projection may have been a hook, the holes are presumably for attachment.
Date: Post med (17th c?)
