A Post Medieval lead alloy toy plate dating to the 17th century. This example fits into Forsyth & Egan's (2005: 257) category of Design 37. The plate has a broad flange, straight sloping wall and flat base. The rim has a beaded edge and the flange is decorated with diametrically opposed designs linked by broken scrolling. There is a four-petalled rose in the centre and the prominent calyx points extend beyond an enclosing plain circle. The edge of the wall is defined by a beaded ring. There are three small sections missing from the rim.<\/p>
