Circumstances of discovery:  Whilst searching with a metal detector.
Description: Silver disc from an incomplete cuff link. The disc is circular and has a stamped design of a flaming heart pierced by two downward pointing arrows. There are three droplets (of blood) below the heart. There is a silver wire loop soldered to the reverse. The disc measures 15.94mm in diameter and is 2.29mm thick. The oval loop is 6.51mm long, 1.53mm wide. Weight 0.81 grams
Date: Post Medieval: late 17th Century-possibly early 18th century
Discussion: The object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal and is over 300 years old. Consequently it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996 in terms of both age and precious metal content.
