HARNESS PENDANT

Unique ID: BUC-669503

A worn medieval copper alloy harness pendant with no visible decoration surviving. The main rectangular plate has been bent to a right angle, probably plough damage. From the centre of the top edge projects an oval transverse suspension loop with a central circular piercing. Nick Griffiths [(FRG Datasheet 5) dates these to the 13th century.
