{"recordID":"415486","finds":[{"created2":"2010 11 12","description":"<p>A cast copper-alloy possible mount of possible Early Medieval date, <em>c<\/em>. 6th century.<\/p><p>\n<\/p>\n\n<p>The object is incomplete, possibly fragmentary, and bears considerable damage from corrosion, and possibly also exposure to fire or heat. <\/p><p>\n<\/p>\n\n<p>The object is sub-rectangular in plan with a broken end and a tapered, rounded end opposite. In section, it is D-shaped, with a thinner lug or plate emerging perpendicularly from the underside. This lug or plate is incomplete.<\/p><p>\n<\/p>\n\n<p>The object may have been a mount, or a number of other types of object, but its present state makes identification uncertain.
