The object is C-shaped in profile with an animal's head decorating the upper section of the fitting.  It has a triangular cross-section which expands at the zoomorphic decoration and the reverse at this point becomes concave.  There are filemarks on the reverse.  The animal's head has lentoid eyes and a curved back tip to the nose which is typical of Urnes style decoration.
