Only about 50% of the seal survives. The traders' mark is still partially visible on the front surface. It takes the form of a letter G, with a scroll below it and up the middle of the seal. Presumably a second letter would have been visible on the right, but this has broken off. The reverse seal features another letter which is not that clear, possibly an I or L.

Similar seals can be seen in Egan, p181.","This seal was recorded by Jim Halliday and the information was passed to the PAS, along with the photograph. The FLO has not seen the item.","","2010-10-29 12:27:46","2010-10-29 12:28:00","4","","","","","","","","1","","1","1","","","1","3","","law","Liz Andrews-Wilson","YORYM","law","Liz Andrews-Wilson","Lead","","","","Cast","","Fragment","","","POST MEDIEVAL","","","Metal detector","","Mr Jim Halliday","","Mrs Liz Andrews-Wilson","NORTH YORKSHIRE","","YORK","","","","","","","","","","","","Near York","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","302292","MD0024.jpg","images/law/",
