A copper alloy trade token dating to the 17th Century. The token is probably a farthing, but could be a halfpenny. The token was produced by Robert Wasse in Petergate in York.
Obverse: *ROBERT.WASSE.IN.
Square shield, decorated with an upwards pointing chevron and unknown Trader's arms (possibly stooks of corn)
Reverse: *PETERGATE.IN.YORKE
