A cast lead bag seal, for woollen clothes manufactured in London, dating to circa 1564-73. One surface bears the shield for the Arms of England, with the letter L` on the left. The headband of a crown can be seen above the shield. The reverse features another shield decorated with a ridged cross (each arm comprising three strands). There is a sword in the top left quarter (the Arms of London). Geoff Egan added the identification of this seal.
