Token

Unique ID: DENO-DAD0A3

Medieval or post-Medieval lead alloy token. Flat circular disc; one side has relief moulded decoration of a long cross with central pellet and an inner and outer circle and with a transverse line in each quarter between the inner and outer circles; the other side is undecorated. Thick cream patina, exposed grey metal. A crease indicates it has been bent in the past. Diameter 16.7mm-17.3mm, thickness 1.9mm, weight 3.51g.

The design may either be based on Medieval 14th-early 16th century long cross pennies or, more likely, a water wheel.
