The plate has broken widthways. The plate is an elongated triangle shape, missing its point, due to the break. The wider terminal of the plate contains two rivet holes and the front surface of the plate has been decorated with an incised linear border infilled with a floral design. The terminal with the rivet holes has rounded corners (one is slightly damaged). The reverse is flat and undecorated. This object is probably of post-medieval date, owing to the floral design.
