The main body of the pendant is lozenge shaped, with trefoil extensions projecting from each of the four corners. The central lozenge is raised. There is a recessed cross on the lozenge. It has been infilled with blue enamel. There are also traces of gilding around the cross. Each of the trefoils is decorated with incised lines. Along the longest axis of the lozenge are two copper alloy rivets, held in place within rivet holes. The rivets can be seen on the reverse. Extending up from the top of the lozenge is a double lugged attachment loop. It is set at a 90 degree angle to the rest of the plate. The metal is a mid reddish-brown colour and it is pitted.
