An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The buckle is a single looped D-shape with a narrowed and offset strap bar. The buckle has a wide outer edge and is decorated with a moulded wavy design. The underside of the outer edge is concave. The pin is missing. The metal is a dark greenish-brown colour and is worn. A similar example can be seen in Whitehead, p.19 and is dated to circa 1250-1500.<\/p>
