The buckle is D-shaped, with a basic frame and no pin recess, it would appear to be the case that no pin was associated with this item. The strap fitting is formed from a folded plate of copper alloy, wrapped around the strap bar of the buckle. Both the front and back plate have been cut forming a roughly rectangular shape, with a slightly pointed out edge and a 'fish-tail' terminal. The back plate has broken at the open end. There is a copper alloy rivet through the two plates, the rivet hole survives on the front plate. The plates appear to be undecorated. The metal is a mid brownish-green colour and it is pitted. This fitting dates to the medieval to post-medieval period.","","","2010-09-07 17:29:28","2010-09-08 16:31:00","4","","1","2010-01-02","","","","","1","1","1","1","","","1","1","","law","Liz Andrews-Wilson","YORYM","law","Liz Andrews-Wilson","Copper alloy","","","","Cast","","Incomplete","","Certain","MEDIEVAL","POST MEDIEVAL","","Metal detector","","Mrs Liz Andrews-Wilson","","Mrs Liz Andrews-Wilson","EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE","","EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE","","","","","SE9551","SE95SE","","","","","","Bainton","GPS","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","296334","TL0455.jpg","images/law/",
