<descriptions>
<description>
<full>An incomplete cast copper alloy object which could be a wrist clasp. It is not clear whether this surviving part of the clasp represents the eye&#45;piece or the hook&#45;piece. The clasp is formed from a rectangular plate of copper alloy, with four surviving circular lobes projecting from one edge. On the edge of the rectangular plate parallel incised lines can be seen, they are in three bands. The four circular lobes are concave, as they have been shaped with a shallow depression. The two central lobes have small holes in the base. Both ends of the plate are broken, so it is not clear how this would have been joined. The reverse is flat and heavily pitted. This wrist clasp dates to the early&#45;mid 6th &#45; 7th Century and probably belongs to Hines&#39;s&#39; Form B18. Similar clasps can be seen in EAA report 84, p164.</full>
