An incomplete cast copper alloy strap end of early-medieval date. The strap end is of Thomas Class A with a crude and worn zoomorphic terminal. The attachment end no longer survive and the break are very old and worn. The reverse is flat and undecorated.
The metal is a mid brownish-green colour and is worn. The strap end is 25.9mm long, 9.8mm wide, 5.4mm thick and weighs 3.9g.
Thomas dates strap ends of this type to the 9th century AD.
