The main plate is a moulded openwork design consisting of eight holes around a central chequered lozenge. The lozenge is often interpreted as a pineapple or thistle but it is more likely to represent a pinecone.
The rectangular attachment loop no longer survives, the breaks are worn. From one edge of the hooked tag the hook extends from a bulbous collar. The reverse of the object is flat and undecorated.
The metal is a mid brownish-green colour and is worn. The hooked tag is 30.6mm long, 15.9mm wide, 1.9mm thick and weighs 2.2g
