A cast copper alloy hooked tag. The main body of the tag is oval in shape with a trapezoidal loop at the top. It measures 20mm in length, 15.8mm in width and 1.9mm in thickness. It weighs 1.9 grams. The front is decorated with a moulded floral pattern and there are three pellets where the oval plate extends into a slight point. The back is slightly indented and undecorated. The tag is incomplete; the hook has broken off just below the plate. The tag is quite worn on both sides and on the break. It is a light brownish-green and dates from the post-medieval period, circa 1600-1750. A parallel can be seen in Read, pg 96, no.355 and also in HAMP-191D46 on the PAS database.
