A cast copper alloy single looped buckle. The buckle has a circular frame and measures 21.8mm in diameter, 3.3mm in width and 2.4mm in thickness and weighs 2.9 grams. The buckle is complete, comprising of the frame with the pin attached. The pin is a single piece of cast copper alloy bent around the buckle frame, the pin itself is flat and slightly tapers to a point, the pin is not constricted and there is no pin rest. The metal is quite worn, the pin has a bend in the centre and the buckle has a light brownish-green patina. The buckle dates from the medieval period, circa 1300-1400.
