An incomplete early Roman rosette brooch. The cylindrical spring cover is missing, as is the upper half of the bow. The body is flat, lozenge shaped and has a circular boss in the centre. The boss is decorated with a circular groove and rectangular notches along the base of the bow. There is a worn catchplate on the reverse.
