The matrix is light grey in colour, fine grained, and contains a small number of grey inclusions. The outer face is buff coloured. The inner surface is marked with a number of u-shaped transverse grooves, probably turning lines from the wheel. The shard is 33.1mm long, 32mm wide and 9mm thick. It weighs 12.41gm.
