A probable piece of wall plaster, probably Roman, dating from 43-410AD. The matrix is a light brownish-grey colour, quite coarse, and contains a number of both dark and light inclusions (grit?) of differing sizes. There is a lighter coloured, smoother section of the outer surface which was probably covered with a light colour wash. It is 94mm long, 49.7mm wide and 21.6mm thick.
