A cast copper alloy buckle, it has a trapezodial shaped frame and was probably used as a shoe or knee buckle. The frame is decorated and features some moulded designs. The central part of the frame features three collars on either side, with floral motifs either side. The outer edges are rounded and feature pin recesses, decorated with a leave design. The frame is drilled for a separate spindle. The pin, chape and tongue are all missing. This type of buckle dates to 1650-1750.
