A cast copper alloy button of medieval to post-medieval date. The head of the button is spherical with a biconcial form. Extending out from the base of the button is the integral shank. The shank is an oval loop with a circular hole at its centre. The metal is a light reddish-brown colour, some traces of tinning remain.
