A mount or weight. A very thin (less than 0.5mm thick) cast square, one face with a counter-relief black-letter S and a narrow bordering line at the outer edge. There is no visible means of attachment. Perhaps 16^th century. Weighs 4.6 grains, equivalent to 0.29grams or 0.0105 oz.
