LITHIC IMPLEMENT
Unique ID: BH-6D2836
An assemblage of seven flint waste flakes, some possibly showing signs of abrupt retouch.
The forms of the pieces vary considerably, but most are sub-oval in plan, have a pronounced bulb-of-percussion and associated rippling. The colour of the flint varies from dark brown to light grey, with varying levels of patination. The total weight of the assemblage is 146.57g.
The suggested date for these flakes is Neolithic to Early Bronze Age, based on their forms, levels of patination and the presence within the assemblage of more diagonostic tool forms.
