Cast copper alloy key dating to the Medieval period. The object consists of a circular bow, a stem and a bit. The stem is solid however the tip of the stem is hollow. The bit has two clefts one on either side resulting in one long simple ward. Similar examples can be found on p72, Read, (2001). It can be dated from the late 12th to the early 14th century. The object has a greenish brown patina.
