A cast copper-alloy button; solid hemi-spherical head. The head has a slight knop atthe apex. The reverse has a broken surface where the integral loop has since broken off. The surface hs a well developed mid green shiny patina. The button is in fair condition. It measures 5.12mm long, 11.11mm in diameter and weighs 1.7g.

A similar button is illustrated in Margeson (Margeson, S. 1993 Norwich Households; Medieval and Post Medieval Finds from Norwich Survey Excavations 1971-78. East Anglian Archaeology Report No. 58), No. 103, and is dated to the mid 16th to 17th centuries.
