The bar is circular in cross-section, elongated with both ends slightly flared. Each end is flat. The bar has a mid-green patina, complete and does not look worn. The bar is undiagnostic regarding its date and function.

This object was found in association with Bronze Age, Iron Age and early Roman material, including four other terret rings, as listed below. The terret rings and the bar were recorded under the Treasure Act (2006 T187) but were declared 'not treasure' due to a lack of evidence to relate them together. The assemblage as a whole however indicates that the site is significant, perhaps as a religious or cult centre.
