Roman body sherd from near base of a closed vessel (such as a cooking pot or storage vessel in unknown reduced ware which is partially oxidised (through burning?) on the exterior dating 2nd to 4th centuryAD. Find recovered after Cumbrian floods the find is abraded and unlikely to be associated with uncovered structures on the floodplain adjacent to and probably associated with a Roman fort. A series of structures are indicated. The length is 72mm, width 48mm, thickness 18mm and the weight is 76.52g.
