A cast copper alloy Medieval finger ring (1400 - 1700 AD). The ring is made of a single loop of copper, and it has a flat profile. It has various cross and linear designs within rectangular divisions around the band. 17.05mm D x 4.92mm H x 1.73mm T. 2.06g weight. Similar finger rings can be seen in Egan & Pritchard 1991 p331.
Notes:
The object comes from a collection of finds found by a detectorist who searched the spoil from a dredged sewer drain in Sandwich. The material was then given to DoverMuseum. No other information is available on the findspot.
