UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT

A cast copper alloy fragment from an unidentified object. The object is formed from a rectangular sectioned strip of metal. The section tapers inwards to one terminal and out to the other. Both terminals appear broken and are very worn. The metal is a mid greyish-green colour.
Notes:
These remains are coming from a site which is producing early-medieval cremation debris dating from the 5th - 7th Century. The finder has reported that no bone fragments or pottery sherds are evident within the plough soil.
