Roman copper-alloy fragment of zoomorphic buckle frame of Hawkes and Dunning Type IIA. Very worn with little surviving detail, Outside edge and broken sides in the form of dolphins with narrow crests, open jaws, lozengiform pellet with slight hollow at centre, punched dots for eyes. Reconstructed dimensions v.approx. 41 x 38mm. Cf. Hawkes and Dunning (1961) fig.18, f.
