A complete cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The object is a double-loop annular buckle with slightly bevelled sides.
The metal is a mid brownish-green colour and is slightly worn. The buckle is 19.2mm in diameter, 2.1mm thick and weighs 1.4g.
Buckles of this type date to circa 1350-1650. Similar examples can be seen in Whitehead, p.45.
