SPEARHEAD
Unique ID: YORYM-853114
Object type certainty: Certain
A fragment of a cast copper alloy spearhead, the fragment comes from the tip end and all that survives is the tip proper. The spearhead seems to have been very long and thin judging by the angles of the two sides. The midrib is raised, forming a lozenge section and it is solid. There are two ridges either side of the midrib, parallel to it, but tapering to the point. The blade edges are eroded, and the whole artefact is worn, with a pitted surface, which is light greyish-green. This artefact dates to the late Bronze Age (1150- 800 BC).
