A cast copper alloy dumbbell toggle of Iron Age to Roman date. The toggle is worn, corroded and badly pitted resulting in the lost of some of the surface. The toggle is comprised of two semi-spherical balls joined by a narrowed collar. Around the circumference of each ball (along the narrower collar) are two further wide collars. The metal is a dark greenish-brown colour and is worn.
