UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT

Unique ID: DUR-703A30

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Cast copper alloy object of uncertain function, Post Medieval in date.

It is incomplete having broken at the lower end. It consists of a sub-rectangluar lower section which is slightly concave on both faces. At the top is a figure, possibly a long-necked bird which appears to be sat down. Detail picks out a possible beak and eye and also the tail. The design is the same on both faces.

This is an unusual item and could be some sort of furniture decoration or possibly a personal item.
