A late Iron Age - early Roman copper alloy La Tene III, Nauheim derivative brooch dating 25-100AD. This is a one-piece brooch with a bilateral spring, rounded bow and solid catchplate . The bow expands to form a lozenge-shaped section decorated with a punched pattern. Only two turns of the spring remains, the internal chord and pin are missing as is the catchplate. The copper alloy has a patchy pale green patina.<\/p>\n\n
