This is a one-piece brooch with a bilateral spring, rounded bow and solid catchplate .  The bow expands to form a lozenge-shaped section decorated with a punched pattern.  Only two turns of the spring remains, the internal chord and pin are missing as is the catchplate.  The copper alloy has a patchy pale green patina.
