Despite the break the fragment retains something of its original curvature. In cross-section the artefact is rectangular. It tapers from a width of 5.9mm at the break to 3.1mm before the terminal hook. The hook is forward facing and arguably truncated; the bracelet would have been fastened through an eye at the other end. The upper surface is decorated simply with scored, broadly transverse incisions. These grooves stop at a ridge before the hook at the terminal end, and at a plain section that begins just before the break. The object now has a dark-green patina with only slight corrosion. The ridged effect given by the grooves can be seen on a bracelet illustrated in Crummy (1983, 40, 42; ref. 1676).","","","2010-04-13 13:16:46","2010-04-13 13:31:00","4","","","","2009-09-10","","","","1","","1","1","","","","","","rwebley","Robert Webley","HAMP","rwebley","Robert Webley","Copper alloy","","","Linear","Cast","","Fragment","Good","","ROMAN","","","Metal detector","","Mr Robert Webley","","Mr Robert Webley","HAMPSHIRE","CLIDDESDEN","BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE","","","","SU6348","SU4614","SU64NW","","","","","","","GPS","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","276229","HAMP-460AE3bracelet.jpg","images/rwebley/",
