BOW BROOCH

Unique ID: SF10910

Small copper alloy brooch, Colchester type. Missing half spring and pin; abraded wings, hook, catchplate. The surviving half spring has three turns. The wings are almost flat at the back and have traces of vertical mouldings on the front. The surviving forward hook is unusually short, but probably damaged. The bow is circular in section with no visible decoration and tapers to a point. The catchplate had a single small circular hole (now incomplete on the outer edge) diam 2mm. Length 26mm, width 16mm.
