This cast copper alloy brooch is approximately 20mm in diameter and has a highly corroded surface. It dates from the mid 5th to the mid 6th century. The rim is slightly damaged, but other than this the brooch is complete. The brooch is decorated with a large ring and dot design (comprised of 3 rings)in the centre, and the border is punched with pellet-in-arc motifs with three large incised concentric circles bordering the inside of the pellet-in-arc rim.","The original record states that this brooch is complete. However, the reverse of the brooch is not shown in the photograph, and the original record did not specifically express the condition of the pin, hinge and catchplate. The colour and patina of the brooch are also unknown as the artefact has been described from a black and white photograph.","","2000-12-15 00:00:00","2011-02-24 12:21:54","4","","1","2000-01-07","","","","","1","1","1","","3","","1","","","mlewis","Michael Lewis","PAS","dpett","Daniel Pett","Copper alloy","","","Geometric","Cast","","","","Certain","EARLY MEDIEVAL","","Anglo-Saxon","Metal detector","","Mr Barry Ager"," Laura McLean"," Michael Lewis","KENT","LITTLEBOURNE","CANTERBURY","","","","TR2057","TR6215","TR25NW","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","94226","kent2348.jpg","images/lmclean/",
