Copper alloy Cast knee buckle with drilled frame and separate spindle, with three tongues and an openwork anchor chape. The frame bears simple moulded decoration on its convex display face; the reverse is flat, with angular surfaces bearing file-finishing marks. This resembles an illustrated example dated c.1720-1790 (Whitehead 1996, no. 709). Length: 28.98mm, Width: 33.33mm, Thickness: 2.04mm, Weight: 8.49gms.
