Incomplete cast copper alloy thimble with sloping sides and a domed top now almost entire lost to old breaks. The thimble has been squashed flat and has an irregular break around the top. The top and sides are covered with a spiral of hand drilled circular pits with a small plain area at the base. The rim is plain with no evidence of notches. It is similar to Holmes (1988) p. 1 Fig 1b which is dated 1400-1550 AD. It 17.9mm tall and 0.8mm thick at the rim, the squashed rim is 26.0mm by 9.2mm and it weighs 3.14 grams.
