Simple lead weight with a flat circular base and tall sides which taper inwards to the rounded top. There are two areas of iron corrosion on opposite sides near the top and a possible patcyh in the base. There may be the remains of suspension loops. It is 12.1mm in diameter at the base, 39.6mm tall and weighs 29.57 grams. Plain weights were cast locally in lead from the Roman period onwards for a wide variety of uses and are hard to date precisely although most are late Medieval - Post Medieval.
